Products sold on this site may be sourced from and fulfilled directly by third-party manufacturers, distributors, and suppliers as part of our Direct from Supplier to Consumer fulfillment model. As a result, some orders may ship directly from the supplier, distributor, or manufacturer to you.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST. Orders placed before 2 PM CST are processed the same business day. Orders placed after 2 PM CST or on weekends/holidays will be processed the next business day.
3. Shipping Area and Shipping Charges
The Backyard Showroom currently ships only within the continental United States. We do not currently ship to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, U.S. territories, PO boxes, APO/FPO addresses, or international destinations.
- Orders over $100: Free shipping within the continental United States
- Orders of $100 or less: $60 shipping fee
Any original outbound shipping charges paid at checkout are non-refundable unless the return is due to an approved damaged, defective, or incorrect item.
4. Eligibility for Returns
Returns are accepted under the following conditions:
- The item arrived damaged, defective, or incorrect
- The customer wishes to return a new, unused item within the return window
- Any damage, defect, missing item, or incorrect item was reported within 48 hours of delivery
- The product is returned within 30 days of delivery
- The item is unused, uninstalled, in new condition, and includes all original packaging, parts, accessories, manuals, and documentation
Items must be returned in new and resalable condition. Used, installed, assembled, altered, damaged-after-delivery, or modified products cannot be returned unless they were defective upon arrival and reported within the required 48-hour window.
5. Reporting Damaged, Missing, or Incorrect Items
If you receive a damaged, defective, missing, or incorrect item, contact us within 48 hours of delivery. If your order has not arrived and tracking shows it as delivered, contact us within 7 days of the expected delivery date.

- Photos clearly showing the product, packaging, shipping label, and damage or issue, if applicable
- A brief description of the problem
- Any delivery notes or carrier documentation, if available
We will coordinate with our supplier, distributor, manufacturer, or carrier to review the information. If approved, we will provide return instructions, replacement instructions, repair guidance, or a prepaid return label depending on the situation.
6. Return Authorization Required
All returns must be authorized by The Backyard Showroom before they are shipped back. Please do not send any item back without first contacting us and receiving written return instructions.
Items returned without prior authorization may be refused, delayed, or may not qualify for a refund. Return instructions may vary depending on the product, supplier, manufacturer, or freight carrier involved.
7. Return Shipping and Fees
For approved non-defective returns, the customer is responsible for all return shipping costs. Because many backyard, patio, and outdoor living products are large or freight-shipped, return shipping costs may vary based on product size, weight, destination, and carrier requirements.
For approved returns involving damaged, defective, or incorrect items, we may provide a prepaid return label or arrange another resolution after reviewing the claim.
Restocking Fee: Approved non-defective returns are subject to a 25% restocking fee based on the product price. This amount will be deducted from your refund total. Exchanges for the same item due to an approved defect, damage, or incorrect shipment will not incur a restocking fee.
If you send an item back without using the approved return method or without following the provided return instructions, we may not reimburse you for shipping costs and the return may be refused or delayed.
8. Refunds and Replacements
- After receiving and inspecting your returned item, we will confirm whether a refund, replacement, repair, store credit, or other resolution applies
- Refunds are issued to the original payment method within 7 business days after the return is received, inspected, and approved
- Original outbound shipping charges are non-refundable unless the return is due to an approved damaged, defective, or incorrect item
- If you prefer, and if available, we may send a replacement item instead of issuing a refund
- Depending on your bank or payment provider, it may take additional time for the refund to appear on your account statement
9. Exchanges
We accept exchanges for both defective and non-defective products as long as the item meets the return conditions outlined in this policy. Replacement items are shipped once the returned item is received, inspected, and approved by The Backyard Showroom or the applicable fulfillment supplier.
If the exchange is for a different product, size, color, model, or variation, the customer may be responsible for any price difference, applicable shipping costs, and any fees associated with the exchange.
10. Non-Returnable Items
We cannot accept returns for:
- Items with damage, defects, missing parts, or incorrect shipments reported after 48 hours of delivery
- Items damaged due to misuse, neglect, improper installation, improper assembly, unauthorized repair, weather exposure after delivery, or failure to follow manufacturer instructions
- Used, installed, assembled, modified, or altered products
- Items not returned in their original packaging with all accessories, parts, manuals, and documentation
- Personalized, custom-made, made-to-order, clearance, final sale, or special-order items
- Perishable goods, gift cards, and downloadable digital items
- Items returned without prior written authorization
11. Cancellations
- Orders may be canceled before shipment or supplier processing for a full refund
- Once an order has shipped, entered fulfillment, or been processed by the supplier/manufacturer, cancellation may no longer be possible
- If cancellation is no longer possible, the order must follow the return process outlined in this policy
- Custom, made-to-order, or special-order items may not be cancelable once production or fulfillment has begun
12. Freight and Large Item Deliveries
Some products may ship by freight carrier due to their size or weight. For freight deliveries, customers should inspect the packaging and product carefully at delivery whenever possible.
- If visible damage is present, note the damage with the carrier before accepting the delivery when possible
- Take photos of the packaging, pallet, labels, and damaged areas before discarding any materials
- Keep all packaging until the issue has been reviewed and resolved
- Report damage to us within 48 hours of delivery
Failure to report freight damage within the required timeframe may limit our ability to file a carrier or supplier claim and may affect return, replacement, or refund eligibility.
